Learning outcomes: The student is able to: - Apply scientific knowledge of family nursing in the nursing care, health promotion and family support of children and adolescents with chronic conditions - Identify common national and international challenges and societal changes in health promotion and chronic disease management with children and adolescents - Assess the effectiveness of solution-focused and multidisciplinary family support and nursing - Support and advise families using services provided by NGOs, church organisations and low-threshold programme Course content: - Scientific approaches to family support and nursing - Key factors of social exclusion and deprivation - Multidisciplinary networks, child protection, family support and nursing, expertise due to experience - Internal and external family structures and dynamics - Evidence-based health promotion - Resources for supporting the growth, development and health of children and adolescents - Service systems and NGOs Teaching methods: - online course consisting an orientating online lecture, independent studies, a written assignment ( made alone/pairs/groups) and a seminar
