Objective

The student
• is able to identify a practical problem based on an accurate assessment and formulate the practical problem into a question that can be answered.
• is able to acquire the most suitable evidence to answer the relevant questions related to practice and transforming and restructuring health care.
• is able to act independently and integrate critically appraised and most suitable evidence with professional judgment, expertise and client preferences to deliver quality health care.
• is able to critically evaluate the changes and outcomes of decisions made on the basis of evidence to ensure the provision of high-quality health care.
• is able to commit to a consistent evidence-based practice to increase favourable outcomes.

Course will be open from 4th October to 31 December 2021:

Student will study independently the course as following order:

Introduction of the course (video)
Independent online orientation materials of the conceptual framework
Literature search for relevant evidence, a flow chart and a summary of literature review table.
Supervision sessions 14.10.2021 or 18.11.2021 at 15-17 based on student's choice.
Collating, summarizing, and reporting the results in an abstract, íncluding attached files (flow chart and literature review table)
Making an evidence-based practice tip -video based on the literature review
Peer feedback for peer students’ videos

Assessment methods and criteria

To pass the course the student should follow the online learning process step by step in Diakle.

The course includes online learning and and one time-bound online supervision session where students are expected to participate.

The course is assessed on the 0 (failed) – 5 (excellent) grading scale.
