Service design increases the participants' willingness and skills to develop public, private and third sector social welfare and health care services to be more human-oriented and effective. The education module in service design includes: principles of service design, work methods, key tools and methods. The education involves working on real-life development challenges of working life by applying the service design process. The education provides skills for entrepreneurship-like activities and business development.
After studying service design, students are experts in their multidisciplinary roles and are able to
• name the principles of the service design process
• use the tools and methods of service design in the development of working life
• plan, implement and evaluate service design
• in multidisciplinary teams and bring their own competence to co-creation
• apply the possibilities of service design in the development of business activities
