• To create an understanding of the structure of the human body and its healthy functioning
• To understand the chemical background and the of the functions of the human body

Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student is expected to
• Be able to describe the structure of the human body and name the organs in English and in scientific terms
• Be able to understand and describe the functions of the different organ systems; the musculoskeletal system, the circulatory system, the respiratory system, the digestive system, the urinary system, the reproductive system, the endocrine organs, the nervous system, and the sense organs

• Anatomy and physiology: The structure and function of the healthy human body.
