Objective

Students
• can plan, deliver and evaluate evidence-based nursing based on the ethical principles
• can anticipate, identify and assess changes in the vital functions of critically ill/perioperative patients in various working environments
• can execute evidence-based decision-making and activities in the care of critically ill/perioperative patients and utilise the expertise of a multi-professional team
• understand MET activities and related cooperation in different working environments
• can identify risks related to the treatment and pharmacotherapy of critically ill/perioperative patients and medical device safety and know how to promote patient safety
• can under supervision independently administer the pharmacotherapy prescribed to a patient
• can offer support and guidance to patients and their families to promote health, wellbeing and the quality of life
• can analyse and assess the impact of nursing critically ill/perioperative patients as well as the health and wellbeing risks during and after nursing
