Objective
Students
• know the principles of good occupational healthcare practices and key occupational healthcare processes
• know how to evaluate the impact of work, work communities and work environments on health and occupational wellbeing
• know how to plan, implement and evaluate necessary suggestions for measures to promote the health of the workplace, work community and individuals
• are familiar with key work-induced illnesses, occupational accident risks and factors affecting occupational health
• are familiar with the principles of incapacity for work and replacement as well as rehabilitative work methods to support job retention and employment
• know the role and content of health advice and check-ups for the unemployed in supporting their capacity for work, ability to function and employment
• recognise the impact of globalisation and culture on work and the wellbeing and ability to function of the working-age population
• know how to work in the multi-professional work communities and networks of occupational healthcare
• know how to plan and execute a health talk both in an in-person and digital environment
• know how to provide information, guidance and advice on work and the health benefits of exercise and a healthy diet both in an in-person and digital environment

• maintenance, promotion and monitoring of the capacity for work and ability to function
• guidance on the physical and psychological health of a working-age person, incl. health-enhancing physical activity and diet, substance use and other addictions
