Objective

Students
• know how to plan, execute and assess the monitoring and strengthening of the health, wellbeing and resources of a family expecting a child in collaboration with the family and a multi-professional team
• know how to guide and support customers in questions related to sexual and reproductive health, also during times of crisis and grief
• know how to assess the health of the mother and fetus and identify the risk factors of pregnancy and the parents’ special need for support and bring these up in conversation
• know how to plan, execute and assess the need for support of a new-born and their family and strengthen inclusion
• know how to plan, execute and assess home visits at the home of a new-born and their family
• know how to implement service coordination
• know how to utilise the principles of child and family diaconal work
• know how to use the health technology tools and applications used at maternity clinics in a customer-oriented and ethical manner
• know how to reflect on the ethical basis of and the values guiding their actions
