Objective

Students will be able to
- identify and use basic concepts of translation
- describe translation as a communication process
- identify the theoretical approaches of translation and use common translation strategies
- identify and analyse the stages of the translation process
- identify culture-specific meanings and render them into the target language and culture
- recognise the responsibility of translators and the possibilities and challenges of digital translation
