Tavoitteet

At the end of the course the student is expected to
• Identify and analyse the specificities of clinical care for children and adolescents
• Take into account cultural factors and family diversity in the planning and implantation of clinical nursing care
• Identify and propose development opportunities in nursing care for children, adolescents and families
• Analyse, apply and evaluate national and international evidence-based research resources on the specificities of clinical care for children and adolescents

Opiskelija
- osaa tunnistaa ja arvioida lapsen ja nuoren kliinisen hoidon erityispiirteitä
- osaa huomioida perheiden monimuotoisuuden ja eri kulttuurien vaikutukset kliinisen hoitotyön suunnittelussa ja toteuttamisessa
- osaa soveltaa tietojaan lääkehoidosta suunnitellessaan, toteuttaessaan ja arvioidessaan lasten ja nuorten lääkehoitoa
- osaa esittää kehittämishaasteita lasten, nuorten ja perheiden hoitotyöhön
- osaa analysoida, soveltaa sekä arvioida ajantasaista näyttöön perustuvaa kansallista sekä kansainvälistä tutkimustietoa lasten ja nuorten hoitotyön kliinisistä erityiskysymyksistä

Esitietovaatimukset

Suitable for nurses, public health nurses and midwives to specialize and update their competence, or for a student in a Bachelor’s Degree Program in Health Care who has already completed the relevant basic professional studies (The care of children, youth, and families -studies) in their own degree program. A prerequisite for proceeding to the advanced studies is approx. 120 completed credits or other specific reason which has been discussed and agreed with the study guidance counsellor. For Open UAS students’ mastery of the equivalent knowledge (comparable study module of another UAS or adequate work experience as a nurse).

Soveltuu sairaanhoitajille, terveydenhoitajille ja kätilöille osaamisen syventämiseen ja päivittämiseen tai terveysalan amk-opiskelijalle, joka on suorittanut jo omassa tutkinnossaan aiheeseen liittyvät ammatilliset perusopinnot (lasten, nuorten ja perheiden hoitotyön opinnot). Edellytyksenä syventäviin opintoihin siirtymiselle on n. 120 opintopistettä tai opon kanssa sovittu jokin muu erityinen syy. Avoimen amk:n opiskelijalla vastaavien tietojen hallinta (muiden AMKien vastaava opintojakso tai riittävä työkokemus sairaanhoitajana).

Applicable for social services and health care UAS students who have completed their previous studies of the topic. Suitable for professionals (nurse, public health nurse, midwife,social services BA) to updating and deepening their knowledge.

All materials and lessons are in English, but students can do the written task also in Finnish.

Opintojakson nimi suomeksi: Lasten ja nuorten kliinisen hoitotyön erityiskysymykset.
AHOT 5/2021: Voidaan ahotoida vain, jos opiskelijalla on aikaisempi sairaanhoitajan tutkinto tai vastaavilla sairaanhoitajan tutkintoon johtavilla korkeakouluopinnoilla.

The Course is evaluated numerically 1-5/failed.
