Tavoitteet
The students will be able to:
• know the process of developing and managing projects
• know the project cycle management and different evaluation methods
• write and implement a project plan, monitor the project and report on its progress
• use networks and partnerships in professional practice
• know different national and international funding instruments

Opetusmenetelmät
- Contact teaching: lectures, workshops and seminars.
- Written assignments during contact teaching and distance learning days.
- The key content of PMI is to plan, implement and evaluate a small scale project in teams of students. The small scale projects will be conducted in collaboration with a working life partner or a Diak's project.
- The main written assignments are a project plan and a project report.
- Seminar presentations of the project's results in the end of the course.
- The project can be part of the thesis work if it is agreed on in advance with the teachers.

Toteutuksen valinnaiset suoritustavat
- An alternative way of completing the study module is only possible upon specific circumstances/criteria (i.e. sickness etc.). Personal reasons such as travel and work are not considered as acceptable criteria.
- Absence from contact teaching will be compensating with written assignments and exams.
- PMI course contains the process of planning, implementing and evaluating a small scale project.
- An alternative way to complete the PMI course needs to be agreed in advance with the responsible teacher and the Study Guidance Councellor latest on 15th January 2024.

The projects are implemented in collaboration with a working life partner or a Diak's project.

Total credits are 9 credits, 1 ECTS equals with 27 hours of students' work, totally 243 hours/ a student.
Step 1: planning of the project and assignments (3 cr = 81 hrs)
Step 2: implementation of the project and assignments (4 cr = 108 hrs)
Step 3: evaluation of the project and assignments (2 cr = 55 hrs)
Sisällön jaksotus
The PMI teaching will be offered according to the schedule in Mydiak in Tuudo.
- Online sessions in Zoom are offered to support students' project planning and implementation during distance learning days.
- Written assignments will be mainly completed during independent study days.
- Students will work in teams in planning, implementing and evaluating the projects during distance learning days.
