Sisällön jaksotus

Orientation to Finnish social welfare and health care is designed for those who have completed a nursing degree abroad and are applying for a nursing license in Finland. The course is also suitable for exchange students and those pursuing an international nursing degree.

The Study Unit consists of three parts:

1. Ethics and ethical principles

2. Customer and patient safety

3. Social welfare and health care service system Opens in a new window.

The assignments in each section must be completed according to the given instructions, and the sections must be completed in order. There is a short knowledge test between the sections, which must be completed in order to proceed to the next section. At the end of the course, the final test must be passed.

Tavoitteet

Opiskelija osaa
- kuvata sairaanhoitajan eettisen toiminnan periaatteita ja toimia niiden mukaisesti
- kuvata sairaanhoitajan eettiset ohjeet ja toimia niiden mukaisesti
- kuvata kollegiaalisen toiminnan periaatteet ja toimia niiden mukaisesti
- kuvata potilasturvallisuuteen liittyvää keskeistä sanastoa
- kuvata sairaanhoitajan vastuut ja velvollisuudet potilasturvallisuuden ylläpitämisessä ja
edistämisessä
- nimetä asiakas- ja potilasturvallisuuden osa-alueet (hoidon turvallisuus, laiteturvallisuus, lääkehoidon turvallisuus) ja osaa luetella näitä edistäviä ja vaarantavia tekijöitä
- kuvata miten haitta- ja vaaratapahtumia tulee käsitellä ja raportoida (osana potilasturvallisuuskulttuuria)
- tietosuojaan liittyvät keskeiset ohjeistukset sairaanhoitajan työssä
- kuvata suomalaisen sosiaali- ja terveyspalvelujärjestelmän keskeiset rakenteet ja lainsäädännön
- kuvata eri sosiaali- ja terveyspalveluja tarjoavien toimijoiden tehtäviä osana asiakkaan ja potilaan hoitoketjua
- kuvata digitaalisten palveluiden merkitystä osana sosiaali- ja terveyspalveluita
- kuvata sairaanhoitajan vastuut ja velvollisuudet tietosuojan ja salassapitovelvollisuuden ylläpitämiseksi

Opetusmenetelmät

Self-paced online course. The course is completed entirely independently by the end of the course deadline. You will study the material in an online learning environment, which includes study materials and assignments/tests. No personal feedback will be provided on the assignments.

Tenttien ajankohdat ja uusintamahdollisuudet

The course workspace will remain open until the end of the course deadline (see Timing), and all assignments must be completed before the workspace closes.

Toteutuksen valinnaiset suoritustavat

In accordance with Laurea’s degree regulations, a student has the right to demonstrate their competence. The initiative for the recognition and validation of prior learning is taken by the student. Competence is identified and recognized by the course’s responsible teacher or another person appointed by the head of the higher education unit. You will study independently online. You can complete the course on your own schedule. It takes approximately 81 hours to complete the course.
