Objective
Students will be able to
- master the Finnish language at basic level A2.2
- understand clear, general spoken language and grasp the main points of discussion in familiar topics, for example, from TV programmes
- converse about familiar topics and manage common everyday exchanges
- easily understand simple texts
- write short pieces of text and communicate by e.g. email
- master the main aspects of basic grammar

- plural forms
- wordtypes
- the object and its uses
- communication situations (dealing with officials, shopping)
- vocabulary related to hobbies and recreation, health and illnesses, travel, clothing, education, work, customs and celebrations
Location and time
The course is completely online (lectures on Zoom).
Lectures are from April 18 to May 28, approximately two lectures per week.
