Objective

The students will be able to:
• implement social services related interventions to guide, support and empower service users within the placement context
• apply client-centered communication skills in assessing the needs of the service users.
• understand the importance of maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with the legal framework of the placement context.
• identify and reflect on possible ethical dilemmas when working with the service users.
• understand the legal and professional codes of conduct within the placement context.
• evaluate professional skills and competencies in working with service users.
• reflect on the role, agency and identity of professionals in the social services field.
• improve Finnish language skills in the placement context, particularly in communicating with the service users. (as applicable)
