Objective
Work placement objectives
Students
• can take into account the individual needs of customers and consider their life situation in nursing and guidance work
• can apply the principles of evidence-based nursing and medical care in mental health and substance abuse work
• understand the specificities of pharmacotherapy of mental health and substance abuse work and can implement it under supervision
• can establish and maintain therapeutic interaction and understand the importance of recovery orientation in the care of patients
• can support customers/patients in the use of self-care tools to support rehabilitation, taking into account digital services
• know how to consider the family and close network and support their adaptation and inclusion in the various phases of the rehabilitation process
• know how to apply creative and functional methods in substance abuse and mental health work
• can support customers/patients in acute crises
• recognise the spiritual care needs of customers/patients
• can guide customers/patients to use appropriate social, health and 3rd sector services
• understand the significance of a multiprofessional team and know how to work in multiprofessional networks
• understand the significance of supervision in mental health and substance abuse work

Qualifications
In health sector education, participation in first-semester practical training and subsequent internships requires that the student has successfully completed Safe pharmacotherapy and medical calculation (PHA1) study module. Additionally, before each subsequent internship, the student must successfully complete the relevant medication administration and calculation modules related to that specific internship.
