Objective
Students
• are familiar with the integration process for immigrants and know how to act in a manner that promotes integration
• know how to apply the Act on the Promotion of Immigrant Integration in grassroot-level social work
• are familiar with the integration service systems and actors
• know how to carry out integration work in various ways with people who have moved to Finland
• know how to act in an integrative way on the level of the individual, family and networks
• are familiar with various cultural understandings and understanding of family in customer work
• know how to act in challenging situations related to immigration and immigration work and how to identify and prevent harmful traditions and act to prevent them
• know how to analyse and develop integration work in customer work and work communities.
