Work placement in diaconal work (15cr)

Objective

Students
• know how to act as a diaconal specialist in the parish to promote the holistic wellbeing of individuals, families and groups in accordance with the ethical principles of diaconal work
• know how to plan, execute and assess individual and communal diaconal working methods in collaboration with other actors, specialists and volunteers
• know how to support customers’ resources, positivity and inclusion
• know how to act as an advocate for vulnerable customers and implement service coordination
• know how to execute and develop church service and devotional life together with other employees and members of the parish
• know how to assess and reflect on their development as someone carrying out spiritual work and as a specialist of diaconal work
