Supporting and guiding adults’ ability to function – work placement (4cr)

Objective

Students
• know how to consider the significance of the diversity, multiculturality and life history of patients/customers in their nursing and guidance
• know how to act according to the operating environment’s data security and protection practices and patient and customer safety practices
• know how to execute a verbal and visual guidance presentation under supervision and consider the life history and living environment of an individual and their immediate circle in the guidance
• know how to document nursing and the customer’s state in various operating environments in a patient/customer-oriented and inclusive manner and communicate orally
• know how to observe infection risks during the work placement and work in an aseptic way
• know how to identify pharmacotherapy risks in their own operations and act according to their responsibility
• execution of pharmacotherapy through various routes of administration
• monitoring and recording the effects of pharmacotherapy, pharmacotherapy review and assessment
• drug and medication safety
• know how to assess the realisation of their objectives and work placement plan and set professional development objectives

Qualifications

Terveysalan koulutuksessa 2. lukukauden harjoitteluun ja sen jälkeisiin harjoitteluihin osallistuminen edellyttää, että opiskelija on suorittanut Turvallinen lääkehoito ja -laskenta (LÄÄ01) -opintojakson hyväksytysti ja aina ennen seuraavia harjoitteluja niihin sisällöllisesti liittyvät lääkehoidon ja lääkelaskut hyväksytysti.
