Objective
Students
• know how to plan, execute and assess the monitoring of the growth and development of school-age children and adolescents together with families and multidisciplinary teams according to national and local instructions
• know how to maintain and promote a safe growth community and environment in collaboration with families and various stakeholders
• know how to vaccinate
• know how to identify, prevent and report the most common infectious diseases in the concerned age groups
• know how to operate purposefully in student healthcare working groups and apply available wellbeing data
• know how to implement empowering and inclusive groups according to the needs of various customer groups
• know how to apply inclusive methods in self-care guidance and support and bringing up difficult topics
• know how to guide the customer and their family to use appropriate and correctly-timed services
• understand and know how to act according to the operating environment’s data security and protection practices and general safety practices
• know how to use the technological tools and applications used in school healthcare in an ethical and customer-oriented manner
• know how to assess their professional growth phase from the viewpoint of public health nurse work
Qualifications
Harjoitteluun osallistuminen edellyttää, että terveydenhoitajaopintojen neljä ensimmäistä lukukautta tulee olla suoritettuna sekä harjoitteluun liittyvät keskeiset teoriaopinnot. Lisäksi opiskelijan tulee olla suorittanut LÄÄ06 -opintojakson tai vastaavia sisältöjä aiemmissa ammattikorkeakouluopinnoissaan.
