Public health nurse work at child clinics – work placement (5cr)

Objective

Students
• know how to plan, execute and assess the monitoring of the growth and development of children together with customers and multi-professional teams
• know how to support early interaction and instruct breastfeeding
• know how to support parenthood and coping in the family’s daily life
• know how to assess the child’s best interest and inclusion and act as a spokesperson for the child
• know how to support customers and families from different cultures and cultural backgrounds in promoting their health, ability to function and wellbeing in collaboration with them
• know how to act in a family-service network as a specialist of health promotion
• understand and know how to act according to the operating environment’s data security and protection practices and patient safety practices
• know how to use the health technology tools and applications used at child clinics in a customer-oriented and ethical manner
• know how to assess their professional growth phase as a public health nurse

Qualifications

Harjoitteluun osallistuminen edellyttää, että terveydenhoitajaopintojen neljä ensimmäistä lukukautta tulee olla suoritettuna sekä harjoitteluun liittyvät keskeiset teoriaopinnot. Lisäksi opiskelijan tulee olla suorittanut LÄÄ06 -opintojakson tai vastaavia sisältöjä aiemmissa ammattikorkeakouluopinnoissaan.

AHOT 4/2021: Voidaan ahotoida vain, jos opiskelijalla on aikaisempi terveydenhoitajan tutkinto tai vastaavilla terveydenhoitajan tutkintoon johtavilla korkeakouluopinnoilla.
