Objective

Students
• are familiar with the legislation and national guidelines governing child and maternity clinic operations
• are familiar with the normal progress of pregnancy
• know how to plan, execute and assess the monitoring of pregnancy and foetus health
• know the risk factors related to pregnancies and childbirth and the related research and follow-up treatment
• know the process of childbirth and know how to operate in sudden childbirth
• know the principles of monitoring the health of new-borns and someone who just gave birth
• know how to support the resources and parenting skills of an expecting family
• know what happens in a postnatal check-up
• know the theoretical justifications of early interaction and breastfeeding and know how to support the family
