Objective
Students
• know the special characteristics of the pharmacotherapy of new-borns and pre-school children and the vaccination of pregnant persons and pre-school children
• know which regular medication can be taken safely during pregnancy and while breastfeeding and
• know how to find more information on unique questions
• know how to advise clinic customers on safe drug treatment/dosing and identify the most common side effects of medical substances
• know how to treat the most common infections on pre-school children (fever, runny nose, eye infection, earache, thrush, molluscum, impetigo, umbilical granuloma, exanthema subitum, hand, foot and mouth disease, posthitis, lice, scabies, pinworms)
• can perform the medical calculations included in the course
