Demonstration of interpreting competence (5cr)

Objective

Students will be able to
- prepare for interpreting assignments
- use their working languages and interpreting methods in a professional manner (consecutive interpreting methods and note-taking technique, remote interpreting methods, sight interpreting, simultaneous interpreting, whispered interpreted, relay interpreting)
- act as a member of an expert team in different types of interpreting situations
- analyse and develop their performance as interpreters
- assess their practice relative to the ethical codes of conduct of interpreters

Qualifications

Opiskelija voi osallistua opintojaksolle suoritettuaan sitä edeltävät koulutukseen kuuluvat opinnot, pois lukien vapaasti valittavat opinnot, opinnäytetyöopinnot sekä viimeisen lukukauden opinnot, ellei opinto-ohjaajan kanssa ole erikseen muuta sovittu.
