Objective
Competency aims:
• In this course the pathophysiology of human diseases is applied in the clinical context.
Learning outcomes:
At the end of the course the student should be able to
• Discuss the etiology, signs and symptoms, complications and prognosis of the most common medical diseases.
• Identify appropriate diagnostic examinations for the most common medical diseases
• Explain the treatment alternatives, their mechanisms, including risk, side-effects and prognosis
• Use the Metacognitive cycle to assess their learning experience
