Objective

This course is part of the Family Health Promotion and Nursing module.

After completing the Sexual Health, Maternity Nursing and Pharmacotherapy course you:
- know the factors that protect and promote sexual health and are able to guide clients
- understand the regular course and monitoring of pregnancy, childbirth and puerpery
- are able to assess the need for treatment of a patient in need of urgent treatment with regard to sexual and reproductive health
- know the basics of sexual and reproductive health diseases and medication during pregnancy and puerperia.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

- You know the factors that protect and promote sexual health and identify clients' guidance needs.
- You know the basics of the regular course and monitoring of pregnancy, childbirth and puerperum.
- You identify the most important urgent care needs related to sexual and reproductive health.
- You know the most common medicines for sexual and reproductive diseases and the special issues related to medication during pregnancy and childbirth.
- You know what welfare technology is and how it can be utilised in nursing.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

- You understand the factors that protect and promote sexual health and are able to guide clients in these situations.
- You are able to describe the regular course of pregnancy, childbirth and childbirth and the most common monitoring methods.
- You are able to assess the need for treatment in the most common urgent situations related to sexual and reproductive health.
- You recognise the most common medicines for sexual and reproductive diseases and are able to take into account the special situations of medication during pregnancy and childbirth.
- You know how wellbeing technology can be utilised in sexual health nursing.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

- You apply your knowledge of factors that protect and promote sexual health and are able to guide clients in these situations.
- You are able to assess the regular course of pregnancy, childbirth and puerperum, know the most common monitoring methods and are able to interpret the results of monitoring methods.
- You are able to interpret and analyse the need for treatment in the most common urgent situations related to sexual and reproductive health.
- You are familiar with the most common medicines for sexual and reproductive diseases and are able to carry out medication safely during pregnancy and childbirth.
- You are able to guide and use well-being technology in a customer-oriented manner in sexual health nursing.
