Basics of Green Care (5cr)

Objective

Basics of Green Care (5 ECTS) Discover how nature promotes wellbeing—and how these effects can be applied professionally. This course introduces the core concepts, methods, quality criteria and operating models of Green Care. You will understand the role of nature connection, learn to use natural environments safely and purposefully, and distinguish between nature-based care and nature-based empowerment. The course also covers relevant legislation and current developments in the field. The training is approved by Green Care Finland and provides the competence basis required when applying for a Green Care quality label.

Content

Opintojaksolla tutustut Green Care -toiminnan keskeisiin käsitteisiin, menetelmiin, toimintaympäristöihin ja laatuvaatimuksiin. Tarkastelet luontosuhteen merkitystä ja opit erottamaan eri Green Care -toimintamuodot. Lisäksi tutustut alan lainsäädäntöön ja toimialan kehitykseen. Opintojakso on Green Care Finland ry:n hyväksymä koulutus, joka antaa valmiuden hakea Green Care -palveluille laatumerkkiä. Tämä tekee opinnoista arvokkaan lisän ammattitaitoon kaikille, jotka työskentelevät ihmisten hyvinvoinnin, kasvatuksen, hoidon, kuntoutuksen tai ympäristökasvatuksen parissa.
