Objective

The student continues to study the basics and learns to use the language in various everyday situations. The student can talk about themself and their family in a slightly more extensive way. The student strengthens their reading skills of the writing systems and learns more kanji characters. The student learns more about etiquette and society, and for example working life. CEFR A1.2.

Qualifications

Japanese Basics 1

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

The student completes the assignments and the final exam with a score of over 60 %. The student can introduce themself more extensively and is able to read Japanese syllabaries as well as a small number of everyday kanji characters. The student understands simple texts. The student can write simple messages. The student understands Japanese etiquette and communication and can talk about some societal topics such as Japanese working life.
