Objective

This course familiarises the student with the basics and practical means of societal influence. The student learns to recognise different forms of influencing, assess their ethical dimensions, and plan and implement an influencing campaign. The aim is to develop the student’s ability to act as an active influencer in society.

After completing the course, the student will
- be familiar with the knowledge base of societal influence
- understand the different forms of influence
- be able to assess the ethical perspectives of influencing
- be able to plan, implement, and evaluate an influencing campaign .

Content

- Institutional influence: political decision-making and lobbying
- Civic engagement: active citizenship, activism
- Influencing people’s behaviour: social marketing, public administration measures
- Influencing through the arts, culture, and media
- Planning, implementing, and evaluating an influential project
