Objective

Students know basic substantive and technical principles of interviewing and different interview types. Students know the basics of how to interview a person within the context of different interview types. Students can justify their decisions in terms of content and technical expression.

Content

The course deals with interviewing in audiovisual production.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student completes the tasks satisfactorily. The student is familiar with the fundamental content and technical principles of personal interviews and the various types of interviews. They are able, with guidance, to conduct an interview in the context of different types of interviews.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student completes the tasks successfully. They understand the key substantive and technical basic principles of a personal interview and can identify different types of interviews. The student is able to conduct a personal interview and is familiar with various interview situations. They justify their decisions both in terms of content and technical expression.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student completes the tasks well. They know the fundamental content-related and technical principles of a personal interview and are able to apply them in a versatile manner in various interview situations. The student is able to interview an individual and adapt their actions according to the situation. They are capable of justifying and reflecting on the decisions they have made both in terms of content and technical expression.

Further information

The course is designed for those who have little experience in interviewing, but who, for example, have to use interviewing in their work to gather information or produce video or audio material.
