Objective
After completing the course, the students will be able to
• explain different distribution options in fashion, textile and other creative industries and how they differ from each other
• identify the key parameters for product commercial pricing
• explain the major parameters for margin building and impact on profitability.
Content
The content of the course is the following:
• Distribution channels in fashion, textile and other creative industries
• Basic parameters for product pricing in different channels, margin building and impact to profitability

Students demonstrate the following competences and completed work:
• Identify key distribution channels in the creative industries and are able to explain basic differences from a brand perspective
• Identify the fundamental pricing parameters (cost, competition, customer)
• Define basic concepts (cost price, retail price, margin, VAT).
Assessment criteria, good (3)
Students demonstrate the following competences and completed work:
• Describe the distribution options clearly and explain how they impact brand positioning using concrete examples
• Explain how these parameters influence pricing decisions in practice
• Explain how margins are built and how distribution choices influence profitability.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
Students demonstrate the following competences and completed work:
• Analyse the strategic differences between distribution channels and justify how each option supports brand development in the short and long term
• Analyse pricing parameters comprehensively and relates them to different distribution choices or market scenarios
• Evaluate margin building factors through example calculations or case scenarios and justify the choices made.
