Objective
The students will be able to
- reflect critically research-based knowledge and motivate own choices
- create new innovative solutions and develop own activity in the changing working life
- evaluate changes in working life
- write a development and research proposal with community development approach (using participatory research methods)

Thesis plan or other RES2 assignments will be conducted in collaboration with working life organisation or a Diak's project.
International connections
Thesis plan or RES2 assignments can be conducted during international exchange. This need to be agreed in advance with responsible teachers.
Completion alternatives
Alternative way to compensate a written report on methods:
a presentation (lecture, poster, video etc.) in a seminar/conference, working life event, poster
- If the presentation is done outside Diak, there need to be a short reflective summary (2 pages) of the process (poster etc. need to be included in the reflective summary)
- Alternative assignment need to be agreed in advance with responsible teachers.
Student workload
2 ECTS equals with 53 hours of student work (1 ECT= 26,6 hours).
Further information
Student can apply for a partial RPL/AHOT for participation of seminars and workshops and/or RES2 assignments based on previous studies or degrees.
Thesis plan cannot be accepted for RPL/AHOT.
