Objective

After completing this study student will be able to
- clearly describe the concepts and theories of sustainable development
- identify and explain social approaches and concepts of green social work and environmental issues in community development
- analyse opportunities of and obstacles to sustainable development
- apply the ideas of sustainable development in community work practices
- conduct community participatory environmental impact assessments (EIA) in communities
