Objective
Students
• are familiar with the special pharmacotherapy-related questions of pregnancy, childbirth and breastfeeding and in home care of new-borns
• are familiar with the characteristics of self-care and pharmacotherapy of families with children and their guidance needs
• are familiar with the vaccination programme for children below school age
• know how to guide families in questions related to vaccinations and pharmacotherapy

Tarkennettu tavoite- ja sisältökuvaus
Opiskelija
-tietää mitä tavallisia lääkkeitä voi turvallisesti käyttää raskauden sekä imetyksen aikana ja osaa etsiä lisätietoa erityiskysymyksiin
-osaa ohjata neuvola asiakkaita turvallisen lääkehoidon toteuttamisessa / annostelussa ja tunnistaa tavallisimpia lääkeainesta johtuvia sivuvaikutuksia tai allergiareaktioita
-tuntee alle kouluikäisen yleisimpiin infektioihin liittyvän lääkehoidon (kuume, nuha, silmätulehdus, korvakipu, sammas, molluskat, märkärupi, napasieni,vauvarokko, enterorokko, esinahan tulehdus, täit, syyhy, kihomadot )
-tietää mitä erityispiirteitä liittyy vastasyntyneen sekä alle kouluikäisen lääkehoitoon sekä raskaana olevan ja alle kouluikäisen lapsen rokottamiseen

AHOT: Toteutuu opinto-ohjaajan kanssa käytävän HOPS-keskustelun sekä diakonia-ammattikorkeakoulun ahot-käytäntöjen mukaisesti.
- Lääkehoidon teoriaosa voidaan ahotoida, jos opiskelijalla on aikaisempi terveydenhoitajan tutkinto tai vastaavilla terveydenhoitajan tutkintoon johtavilla korkeakouluopinnoilla.
- Lääkelaskujen osaaminen tulee osoittaa suorittamalla lääkelaskutentti hyväksytysti.
