Opintojakso alkaa ennakkotehtävällä. Ennakkotehtävä käsitellään opintojakson ensimmäisellä lähiopetuskerralla. Tämän jälkeen työskennellään ryhmissä kirjallisuuden ja keskustelujen perusteella. Kirjallinen tehtävä palautetaan opintojakson lopussa. Jaksolla käsitellään kehityspsykologian näkökulmasta aikuinen oppijana ja vanhuus.
