Objective
Students will be able to
- write in Finnish at proficiency level B2, depending on their entry level
- produce text on topics relating to study and work
- master the structures of the Finnish language
- understand the importance of reading to good writing
- utilise feedback to develop their writing skills.
Content
- writing various types of text, e.g. formal messages, summaries (from interviews, speech, text), source-based writing
- revision of grammar
- demanding reading comprehension exercises
Teaching methods
Etäopetus, harjoitukset ja kommunikatiiviset ryhmä- ja paritehtävät. Itsenäiset tehtävät.
Student workload
Opiskelijan ajankäyttö ja kuormitus: 5 op (27 x 5 = 135 tuntia). Kontaktiopetusta on vähän ja kurssi suoritetaan suurimmaksi osaksi tekemällä kirjallisia tehtäviä. Opetusta on 26.5.-20.6.2023, ja sinä aikana tehdään suurin osa tehtävistä. Opiskelija tekee lisäksi kaksi tehtävää vielä sen jälkeen, kun itse opetus on loppunut.

Kurssi on kirjoittamiseen painottuva kurssi, ja opetus on Zoomissa. Kurssi etenee intensiivisesti ja opiskelijan täytyy olla valmis tekemään paljon kotitehtäviä, joihin opettaja antaa kommentteja.
