Objective

The students will be able to:
• use basic interviewing skills when working with service users
• apply solution-focused approach with diverse service users
• communicate in challenging situations in client work

Content

• Basic professional interviewing skills
• Solution-focused approach
• Communication in challenging situations in client work

Teaching methods

Independent reading about communication skills and an assignment accompanying it.
Lectures and workshops about communication skills.
Group work: students will conduct role play about professional communication which they will videotape. The videos will be watched and analysed in a seminar.
Attendance to all lectures is compulsory.
