Objective
Students
• can explain the principles and practices of monitoring the growth and development of school-age children and adolescents
• know how to assess the need for special support, child welfare and continued care of school-age children, adolescents and their families in collaboration with families and other actors
• know how to find health information related to students
• know how to use key legislation governing public health nurse work and national and international social services and healthcare policies as a basis for their work
• know how to apply the ethical principles of public health nurse work
• know how to document public health nurse work carried out with individuals and communities
