Objective
The students will be able to:
• apply relevant social sector specific approaches, methods and legislation in a professional manner
• promote equality, inclusive practices and advocacy work
• analyse societal and ethical problems in work settings
• reflect on the different values and possible value conflicts in a work community
• recognize and evaluate possible developmental needs and practices in working life
• apply project management skills (as applicable)
Content

Teaching methods
Placement orientation, placement, supervision, reflective workshops, final reflective workshop.
Two online reflective workshops during the placement period. Dates for the reflective workshops are given in the beginning of the placement by supervising teachers.
PRA3 placement can take place in project work or similar in the social services field that does not involve direct client work.

In Finland or abroad.

Placement can be done as part of exchange programme.
Student workload
PRA3 16 ECTS practical training + PRA3 reflective workshops 2 ECTS is 486 hours in total (1 ECTS = 27 hours of work)
Content scheduling
Students attend placement orientation prior to the placement. Individual supervision and reflective workshops take place during the placement. Final reflective workshop is in the end of the placement.
