Objective

Students
• know how to plan, execute and assess multidisciplinary evidence-based mental health and substance abuse work of customers/patients of various ages in multisectoral collaboration and consider the phases and holistic situation of the customer’s/patient’s recovery and rehabilitation process and their experimental knowledge
• know how to take responsibility as a member of a multi-professional team and develop their self-management skills as a registered nurse
• know how to use and apply the assessment, guidance and helping methods of mental health and substance abuse work and health technology applications
• know how to plan, execute and evaluate pharmacotherapy of customers/patients of various ages
• know how to apply in their own activities the values, ethical principles, laws, statues and instructions of the healthcare sector when encountering customers/patients and use a working method that respects their inclusion and agency
• know how to utilise various working methods of mental health and substance abuse work and the promotion and prevention of health and the ability to function
• know how to independently and under supervision administer the pharmacotherapy prescribed to a customer/patient
• know how to execute service coordination and referrals to treatment and use various customer and partner-based development methods in customer work and service systems in a systematic way
• know how to evaluate service systems from the viewpoint of the service needs of social services and healthcare and identify areas in need of improvement
• know how to utilise health technology applications in the nursing of a customer/patient and their self-care
• know how to analyse and assess the ethical challenges related to mental health and substance abuse work and the use of health technology applications
• know how to describe and assess the creation of a professional identity as a continuously developing process and use job supervision to support it
