Students
• can adhere to patient and client safety practices
• can act according to the working environment’s data security and protection practices
• can observe infection risks in the work placement environment and work in an aseptic way
• can act according to the principles of nursing
• can establish a care and client relationship and assess their ability to deal with patients and customers in a holistic way
• can take into account the diversity and multiculturalism of individuals and life histories in customer/carer relationships
• can observe and respond to the basic daily needs of individuals and document under supervision the care provided

Students
• reflect on the importance of the first work placement in relation to their own professional growth

• understand the process of setting their own work placement objectives to support their learning
Qualifications
In health sector education, participation in first-semester practical training and subsequent internships requires that the student has successfully completed Safe pharmacotherapy and medical calculation (PHA1) study module.
