Objective

Students
- understand the significance of actions that preserve and maintain health to the future of children and adolescents
- are familiar with the growth and development phases of children and adolescents as well as deviations in them
- are familiar with the basics of promoting sexual and reproductive health
- understand the customary progress and monitoring of pregnancy, childbirth and puerperium as well as methods of health promotion
- know how to support families in becoming parents and taking care of a newborn
- are familiar with the principles and practices of child welfare

- factors protecting and promoting the health and wellbeing of children and adolescents
- the growth and development of children and adolescents
- sexual and reproductive health
- the customary progress of pregnancy, childbirth and puerperium
- supporting parenthood and taking care of a newborn

Materials

Suoritettava oppimateriaali on Diaklessa verkko-oppituntien sisällä. Muuta aineistoa ei tarvitse hakea.

Teaching methods

Tarkennetut sisällöt edellisten lisäksi:

- ajankohtainen lainsäädäntö
- lapsen ja nuoren ravitsemussuositukset
- potilasturvallisuutta ylläpitävä vuorovaikutus eri ikäisten lasten ja nuorten kanssa
