Students
• understand the national decision-making process in nursing and the principles of drafting a care plan
• understand the need for a multidisciplinary knowledge base in decision-making
• know the principles of producing and processing patient records
• understand the concept and significance of evidence-based action in nursing
• know their responsibilities in documenting nursing
• know the data protection and security requirements in healthcare and the legislation governing them

Accomplishment methods

A person who has completed a practical nurse qualification can complete the study module using an alternative method. The completion is done through a test, and registration for the test must follow the instructions provided by the study counselor.
