Objective
Students
• know how to plan, execute and assess the monitoring and strengthening of the health, wellbeing and resources of a family expecting a child in collaboration with the family and a multi-professional team
• know how to guide and support customers in questions related to sexual and reproductive health, also during times of crisis and grief
• know how to assess the health of the mother and fetus and identify the risk factors of pregnancy and the parents’ special need for support and bring these up in conversation
• know how to plan, execute and assess the need for support of a new-born and their family and strengthen inclusion
• know how to plan, execute and assess home visits at the home of a new-born and their family
• know how to implement service coordination
• know how to utilise the principles of child and family diaconal work
• know how to use the health technology tools and applications used at maternity clinics in a customer-oriented and ethical manner
• know how to reflect on the ethical basis of and the values guiding their actions

Teaching methods
Harjoittelu äitiys- ja lastenneuvolatyön toimintaympäristössä.
Harjoittelun tavoitteena on perehdyttää opiskelija ohjatusti opintojen kannalta keskeisiin käytännön työtehtäviin sekä lukukaudella opittujen tietojen ja taitojen soveltamiseen työelämässä.
Harjoittelun ohjauksen työkaluna käytetään Workseed-järjestelmää.

Student workload
Äitiys- ja lastenneuvolaharjoittelut (HAR81 ja HAR82, yhteensä 9 op) suoritetaan samassa neuvolassa 7 viikon ajanjakson aikana. Harjoittelussa tehtävä tuntimäärä on 243 tuntia.
Harjoittelutunteihin (8h) sisältyy:

- CV laadinta ja harjoittelupaikan hankinta
- Tavoitteiden laadinta
- Reflektio
- Ohjauskeskustelu lehtorin ja harjoittelun ohjaajan kanssa
- Ammatillisen kasvun kehittymisen kriittisen reflektion laadinta
Harjoittelupaikassa suoritettava tuntimäärä on 235 tuntia.
Ammatillisen kasvun reflektointi liitetään myöhemmin viimeisen lukukauden Asiantuntijuus ja johtaminen terveydenhoitajatyössä - opintojaksoon.
Harjoitteluinfoon ja reflektioon osallistumisessa on 100% läsnäolovelvoite.
Qualifications
Harjoitteluun osallistuminen edellyttää, että terveydenhoitajaopintojen neljä ensimmäistä lukukautta tulee olla suoritettuna sekä harjoitteluun liittyvät keskeiset teoriaopinnot. Lisäksi opiskelijan tulee olla suorittanut LÄÄ06 -opintojakson tai vastaavia sisältöjä aiemmissa ammattikorkeakouluopinnoissaan.
