Opintojaksolla käsiteltäviä teemoja ovat sosiaalialan sanastot, viranomaiskieli, selkokieli sekä asiatyyli.
Objective
Students will be able to
- identify communication situations and text types typical in the social services sector
- communicate in both working languages in interpreting situations typical in the social services sector
- use the vocabulary of social services
- develop their vocabularies and terminologies relating to social services in both working languages
- recognise the possibilities and challenges of digital solutions in multilingual communications in the social services sector

Teaching methods
Opintojakso koostuu luentomuotoisesta kontaktiopetuksesta ja harjoituksista lähiopetusviikoilla sekä itsenäisestä työskentelystä etäviikoilla monikampustoteutuksen mukaisesti: https://www.diak.fi/opiskelu/opiskelijan-polku/opintojen-suorittaminen/opiskelumuodot/
Lähiopetusviikoilla olevassa kontaktiopetuksessa on 100 %:n läsnäolovaatimus.
Student workload
Opintojakso on 5 opintopistettä eli noin 130 tuntia opiskelijan työtä.
Suurin osa työskentelystä on verkkopohjaista itsenäistä työskentelyä ja itsenäisten oppimistehtävien tekemistä.
Qualifications
Osallistuminen edellyttää edeltävien TYV-opintojaksojen suorittamista ja B2-kielitaitotasoa suomen ja toisen työkielen osalta.
