Students
• understand pharmacotherapy as part of patient safety and are familiar with the procedure for reporting pharmacotherapy-related risks and adverse incidents
• understand the responsibilities of student nurses and registered nurses in pharmacotherapy
• understand the principles of general pharmacology and pharmacy
• know how to look for and apply information on medication from drug databases
• know how to guide patients in pharmacotherapy and the interpretation of an electronic prescription
• can perform the medical calculations included in the course
Accomplishment methods
Lähihoitaja tutkinnon suorittanut voi suorittaa opintojakson vaihtoehtoisella suoritustavalla. Suoritus toteutetaan testillä. Testiin tulee ilmoittautua opinto-ohjaajan ohjeiden mukaan.

Opintojaksolla on luento-opetusta sekä itsenäisiä tehtäviä ja tentit.
Exam schedules
Lääkehoidon ja lääkelaskujen tentit suoritetaan valvotusti kampuksella. Varsinaiset tentit tehdään lukujärjestykseen merkittynä ajankohtana. Hylätty tentti tulee uusia yleisessä tentissä. Lääkelaskujen tentin voi uusia myös lääkelaskujen tukipajassa.
Completion alternatives
Lähihoitaja voi suorittaa opintojakson vaihtoehtoisella suoritustavalla. Suoritus toteutetaan testillä, johon kuuluu lääkehoidon testi ja lääkelaskukoe. Testi tehdään valvotusti kampuksella erikseen ilmoitettuna ajankohtana. Testiin tulee ilmoittautua opinto-ohjaajan ohjeiden mukaan.
