Objectives for the work placement
Students
• can support customers, families and communities in need of special support and at risk of marginalisation
• can provide individual and holistic care and direct customers/patients to appropriate services, taking into account the continuity of care
• can use methods that increase inclusion and functional capacity to promote the health and wellbeing of customers/patients
• can administer under supervision the pharmacotherapy prescribed to a customer/patient
• can assess the effectiveness of nursing and health promotion methods and services from the perspective of customers/patients in need of special support and at risk of social exclusion
• can work in different environments in an ethical way, taking into account sustainable development
• understand the significance of a multiprofessional team and know how to work as an expert in nursing in multiprofessional networks
• can work in cooperation with experience-experts and volunteers
• can use the technological tools and applications in the work placement environment in an ethical and customer-oriented manner
• develop their oral and written Finnish language skills needed in nursing
• can analyse and assess their expertise and values and attitudes in their professional activities

Qualifications
Terveysalan koulutuksessa 1. lukukauden harjoitteluun ja sen jälkeisiin harjoitteluihin osallistuminen edellyttää, että opiskelija on suorittanut Turvallinen lääkehoito ja -laskenta (LAA1) -opintojakson hyväksytysti ja aina ennen seuraavia harjoitteluja niihin sisällöllisesti liittyvät lääkehoidon ja lääkelaskut hyväksytysti.
