Objective

Would you like to work more in line with your own values, for example, by taking better account of your own innovations, sustainable development, or megatrends? Could you utilize your expertise in an entrepreneurial way and create new career opportunities? This course offers you a practical path to entrepreneurship in the social and health care sector – without the need for a ready-made business idea. During the course, you will learn about the opportunities for entrepreneurship in the social and health care sector, develop your own service business idea, and draw up a business plan for it. The course allows you to complete the modules according to your own interests in the following order (2–5 credits): Part 1, Highlighting your skills – what you could offer others (2 credits) Part 2. From insight to action – developing your own service idea (2 credits) Part 3. Business plan (1 credit) As a degree student at Karelia University of Applied Sciences, you can continue to develop your skills as a practice entrepreneur in a safe environment and offer your services through the Taituri.fi online store. The course has been implemented as part of the European Union co-funded project Becoming an entrepreneur – learning entrepreneurial skills

Teaching methods

Voit suorittaa opintojakson moduulit oman kiinnostuksesi mukaan seuraavassa järjestyksessä (2 - 5 op) Osa 1 on pakollinen ja loput osat 2 ja 3 voit suorittaa halutessasi. Osiot aukeavat sitä mukaa, kun suoritat edellisen osion. Osa 1. Osaaminen esiin – mitä voisit tarjota muille (2 op) Saat näkökulmia yrittäjyyteen tai yrittäjämäisesti toimimiseen sote-alalla. Sisältö: - Kuntoutusalan yrittäjyyden mahdollisuudet - Toimintaedellytykset, kehityssuunnat, megatrendit - Yrittäjyyden perusteet ja erityispiirteet sote-alalla - Yritysmuodot - Luvat, lainsäädäntö, ilmoitusvelvollisuudet jne. - Yrittäjyysvalmiutesi (itsetuntemus, motivaatio, riskinsietokyky) - Oman osaamisen tunnistaminen: Miten muotoilet osaamisestasi palvelun tai tuotteen? Osa 2. Oivalluksesta toiminnaksi – oman palveluidean kehittäminen (2 op) Työstät omaa liikeideaasi, arvioit sen taloudellista kannattavuutta ja suunnittelet markkinointitoimenpiteitä. Sisältö: - Talouden suunnittelu ja palveluiden hinnoittelu - Budjetointiharjoitus ja kannattavuuslaskelma - Miten asiakkaat kuulevat palveluistasi? (myynti ja markkinointi) - Yrittäjän vastuut ja velvollisuudet: eettinen vastuu, tietosuojariskien hallinta, kestävä liiketoiminta, verot, vakuutukset, luvat Osa 3. Liiketoimintasuunnitelma (1 op) - Laadit yrityksellesi liiketoimintasuunnitelman, jota voit käyttää pohjana esimerkiksi starttirahan hakemisessa tai Draft-ohjelmaan pyrkiessä. Draft-ohjelmassa saat valmennusta yritysidean kehittämiseen ja pienen rahoituksen ideallesi sen varhaisessa vaiheessa (Karelia-AMK;n, Riverian ja UEF:in opiskelijoille, alumneille ja työntekijöille)

Student workload

Suunnittele ajan käyttösi, niin että palautat viimeisen tehtävän 1.5.2026 mennessä. Arviointi tapahtuu 1.5-30.5.2026. Jos joudut täydentämään tehtävää, niin täydennys tulee palauttaa viimeistään 8.6.2026.
