Objective
The student knows the basics of Portuguese, being able to understand and to use the key vocabulary and structures both in speech and in writing. Having taken the course, the student is able to give their personal data, is able to cope with certain everyday communication situations in the target language, is able to describe their operational environment, and is able to provide advice and instructions in everyday situations
Content
Portuguese pronunciation (Portugese, Brazilian), personal pronouns, verbs SER, ESTAR, regular and irregular verbs of indicative present tense, futuro imediato (ir + present tense), present continuous, prepositions. Vocabulary: weekdays, numbers 0–100, introducing oneself, study environment, cafe, family, professions
