Content scheduling
The course is a virtual course where you can do the assignments at your individual pace. Get to know the material in Moodle and do the six assignments by 15.5.2026.
Methods of completion
Depending on the implementation. Virtual or learning takes place in contact lessons, as independent studies, teamwork and/or online studies. Implementations can include literature, assignments, R&D co-operation and company projects. The course includes the assessment of one’s own learning Recognition of prior learning (RPL) If students have acquired the required competence in previous work tasks, recreational activities or on another course, they can show their competence via a demonstration. The demonstration must be agreed with the course teacher. Methods of completion
Futures research is a multidisciplinary approach that aims to understand and predict future developments in various fields. In this course, we get to know the basics, methods and applications of futures research.

Teaching methods

There is no exam in this course. The assignments contribute to the evaluation process.
Student workload
The course has five smaller individual assignments, which are graded fail-pass, and one individual final report, graded 1-5. The final report is 50% of the grade.
Qualifications
No prerequisites. This course unit is part of the master's degree's curriculum. Completion of the course requires master's study entitlement.
