Objective
Upon completion of the course students will gain the basic know-how for research and development work and be familiar with the methods and models of development work. Student will understand the basic concepts of quantitative and qualitative research, be familiar with the research process and the principles of data analysis and interpretation and be able to communicate professionally in various research and development functions. Student will be familiar with research reporting practices and able to apply them in research and development work.

Instructions for the learning materials will be provided as the course progresses.
Teaching methods
Lectures, written course assignments (qualitative and quantitative assignments, mini-research project, and data analysis). The course also includes a mandatory communication and information seeking components.
