Objective
The student knows basic mathematical and statistical analysis methods of business and is able to apply financial mathematics to solving basic business problems based on working life. The student knows the main calculation methods related to finance and investment decisions. The student is familiar with the basic concepts of statistical analysis. The student is able to select suitable statistical methods and use them in describing the pre-collected statistical data.

Location and time
The course is carried out as distance learning and you can study it completely independently. For personal guidance, the course, according to the schedule, has a virtual classroom online.

Teaching methods
The course is implemented through flipped learning, where students independently familiarize themselves with the course themes using the provided materials and by solving assignments. Personal guidance is available from the instructor during weekly virtual guidance sessions, where, for example, advice on solving assignments can be obtained.
Attendance at the guidance sessions is not compulsory, but participation in the first session is recommended, as the nature of the subject and the detailed course practices are covered there.
All course materials (lecture recordings, slides, etc.) and assignments are available from the beginning of the course in the Moodle learning environment.
There are no prerequisite requirements for the course.
